Email Scam! Your Payment to Skype Inc is Unconfirmed

WARNING, IF YOU RECEIVED THIS EMAIL, DO NOT PRESS CANCEL PAYMENT, IT IS A VIRUS OR A TRACKER TO TRACK DOWN ALL INFORMATION INSTALLED IN YOUR COMPUTER!

This is the second "PayPal scam" I received this week and paypal has nothing to do with it. Now if you press cancel payment, it will then direct you to a link or will install a virus on your computer to track down all informations you have on your computer.

This is what the email looks like:

Thank you for posting this, almost had a heart attack untill i realised the email adress was wrong

I too have just recieved this e-mai. I luckily like anything i am unsure of checked with my bank to see if any payments had been put through and went onto paypals website and checked my transactions on there and there was nothing. Soi set about the internet and found your post.

Just received thi email again for got to be the 7th or 8th time in a year....they keep on trying!

It's still going around over 12 months later - I've just received it. Gave me a nasty shock at first until I realised the paypal address was wrong. Luckily, I never click on links in emails and brought up my PP account on a completely different PC to discover no money had been taken. Forwarded email to spoof@paypal.com (the clue was the address was paypal.co.UK and not .COM) !
